Andi Deifel, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is dually a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in direct patient care. She has focused on Addiction Management and Emergency Medicine for much of the past 18 years and now adds the psychiatric specialty to her expertise. Ms.Deifel sees patients at DeNova's offices in Lexington, Winchester, and Richmond, Kentucky.
She has degrees from the University of Kentucky for undergraduate in Kinesiology (2005), Midway College in Nursing (2008), and Indiana Wesleyan University for both a Bachelor's (2013 and graduated Magna Cum Laude) and Master's degree (2016) in Nursing. Ever improving her knowledge base for her patients, she just completed post-graduate work with her certification in Psychiatry & Mental Helath at Indiana Wesleyen Univerity (2026). Devoted to her cause, Andi continues her pursuit of knowledge at IWU, seeking a specialization in Psychiatry to better serve those with co-occurring psychological disorders to substance use disorder.
Andi's professional career has been spent mainly in Central and Eastern Kentucky, making her very knowledgeable of her patient base and the daily issues they may face. She followed her passion for addiction medicine and has been serving as a clinician at DeNova Behavioral Health for 6+ years, practicing full-time in addiction medicine while taking over the integrated Hepatitis C Treatment Clinic, also at DeNova.
Her professional memberships include the American Society for Addiction Medicine, the Kentucky Nurse Practitioner Association, the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, and the Emergency Nurses Association.
Andi lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, three children, and her dogs. She often donates her time to Cindy's Closet, a 501(c)(3) that feeds and clothes about 60 homeless citizens of Lexington.
