Summer Hursey, BS, is a Targeted Case Manager with experience in behavioral health and addiction services. She earned her
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Human Services from Colorado Technical University in 2026 and also holds a Medical Assisting diploma from Virginia College. Her professional experience includes work in outpatient behavioral health,
psychiatric inpatient care, addiction treatment, and specialty medical practice, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of both mental health and healthcare systems.

Summer is passionate about helping individuals navigate recovery, access community resources, and overcome barriers to treatment. She has experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorder while also bringing firsthand insight into the impact addiction can have on individuals and families. Her approach is compassionate, patient-centered, trauma-informed, and focused on empowering clients to achieve stability and long-term success.

In addition to her behavioral health experience, Summer has extensive clinical experience as a medical assistant, with training in patient care, medical documentation, laboratory procedures, injections, phlebotomy, and electronic health records. She is CPR and BLS certified and is committed to providing high-quality, coordinated care that supports each client's physical, emotional, and behavioral health needs. Summer sees patients through DeNova Behavioral Health in Lexington and Richmond, Kentucky.
